Barra da Tijuca, popularly known as Barra is the youngest neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro. Until the 1970’s was nearly uninhabited, today, nearly 40 years later, the region has become the most complete neighborhood of the city.

Pepê

PARKS AND FORESTS :

Chico Mendes Park

With almost 5km of trails, the park offer a beautiful space for leisure activities. With 400 square meters, the park was created in 1989 in order to preserve Lagoinha  das Tachas and its surroundings, as well the animals and plants, most of which are considered rare.

 

Marapendi Park

With approximately 600 acres of beautiful natural scenery, the Marapendi Park is a great option for anyone who wants to experience nature.

 

Sítio Burle Marx
This venue is known for its botanical features. It´s a great option for plant lovers, as it features one of the most important collections of tropical and sub-tropical species in the world.
